Kid Rock began dee-jaying at house parties at the age of 16 for Bo Wisdom of `Groove Time` productions. Bo gave him the name `Kid Rock`, because he liked to watch the way that the Kid could Rock.

Kid Rock signed a deal with Jive Records at the age of 17, against his parents wishes. He went on his first concert tour with: Ice Cube, YoYo, D-Nice, and Too Short. The tour was called "Straight From The Underground".

Kid Rock released his first album Grits Sandwiches For Breakfast in 1990. His first single called "Yo Da Lin In The Valley" wasn`t played by radio, as it dealt with R-rated subject matter. The FCC later fined Central Michigan University $23,700.00 for airing it.

Kid Rock was dropped by Jive Records, and picked up by an independant label in 1993. Continuum signed him, and released The Polyfuze Method. It`s first single "Back From The dead" was a top 20 hit.

Kid Rock released the album Fire It Up in 1994, and the album flopped. Continuum dropped him from their label.

Kid Rock started his own record label, "Top Dog" productions in 1994. He began releasing monthly demo tapes called "The Bootleg Series".

Kid Rock took a job as a janitor at Whiterooms studios to pay studio fees and released "Early Morning`s Stoned Pimp". He sold 100,000 copies out of his basement.

Kid Rock staged a special concert seeking major labelattention. Atlantic Records was the only label that came to the show. After 2 more singles, they made a $100,000.00 record deal with him.

Kid Rock added a few more people to his band, making them: Uncle Kracker, Joe C., Kenny Olsen, Jimmie Bones, Stefanie Eulinberg, and Jason Krause. They call themselves `The Twisted Brown Tucker Band`.

Kid Rock released the album Devil Without A Cause in 1998, and went out on the road with the Vans Warped Tour. The single "Welcome 2 The Party" was being ignored by audiences.

Kid Rock released his first video to MTV "I Am The BullGod", which was a hit, and went to perform two live performances on MTV`s "Fashionably Loud" and "I Wanna Be A VJ".

Kid Rock released the single "Bawitaba" and performed it with Aerosmith and Run DMC on the MTV Video Music Awards Show in 1999. He went on to perform it at Woodstock 99 and the Grammy Awards.

Kid Rock released three more singles from Devil Without A Cause: "Cowboy", "Only God Knows Why", and "Wasting Time" selling 11 million copies.

Kid Rock released his follow up to Devil Without A Cause with c*cky in 2001. It wasn`t as successful as the previous album, but found a new audience in the single "Picture", a duet with Sheryl Crow that infuses country with rock.

Kid Rock suffers a loss in 2000, when close friend and bandmate Joe C dies of Celiac Disease.

Kid Rock released his first live album Live Trucker in 2003, containing songs from his performances in Detroit and Clarkston. The album contains the last two performances with Joe C, "Devil Without A Cause" and "Early Morning Stoned Pimp".

Kid Rock and his wife, Pam Anderson are listed on People magazine`s 2005 list of `101 Worst Dressed Celebrities`.

Kid Rock has done television commercials for Original Coors in 2002, and for Coors Light in 2003.

Kid Rock appeared in two of Gretchen Wilson`s music videos "Redneck Woman" in 2004 and "All Jacked Up" in 2005.

Kid Rock was arrested February 16, 2005 on assault charges, for punching DJ Jay Campos in `Christies Cabaret` stripclub. Bond was set at $3000.00, and the feud was over a music selection. Rock plead `No Contest` and was sued for a million dollars by Mr. Campos.

Kid Rock was ranked #97 on VH1`s 100 Sexiest Artists.
